Inside the Odyssey College Prep site

- Site search that needs no server
- Consultation booking from every page
- Static pages with almost no JavaScript
The brief
Odyssey College Prep coaches students in Little Rock, Arkansas, and across the country through ACT prep, aptitude testing, choosing a major and college applications. Odyssey publishes often, so the site had to be fast, easy to write for, and hard to publish badly.
How it's built
A static Astro site with almost no JavaScript, so pages load instantly on any phone. Posts are written in MDX, and a title that runs too long or a missing description fails the build instead of quietly going live. Site search runs without a server, and consultation booking is a tap away from every page.
